Poll: Do You Use Humor to Sell?

The sales trainer Michelle Nichols (she used to write a column on sales for BusinessWeek) thinks that humor is a great way to break the ice:

I have mixed feelings about this concept, because I’m not naturally funny. My sense of humor skews decidedly weird, and as a result, I tend to be serious when I’m in “selling mode.”

I’m curious how common it is for sales professionals to use humor as part of their sales persona and presentation.  Here’s a poll:
