RE: Which Generation is Best at Selling?

The issue of the size of the quota leads to the next logical question - which group (Boomer, Gen X or Gen Y has the highest sales per salesperson? What is more important to a company achieving or surpassing quotas or sheer sales volume. Certainly sales volumes fluctuate by industry, but within each industry which age group sells the most. Are different age groups better at selling certain types of products or services than the other age groups. If we had the answer to that we could hire based upon which age group sells our product best.
