Marketing groups are struggling to cope with a world where traditional branding activities fall flat.  These three short “mockumentaries” show an IBM marketing team trying desperately to create a viral video.

My sense of humor may be a bit odd, but I think these are some of the funniest videos I’ve ever seen on the web.  And the fact that the series was funded by IBM makes it somehow funnier.

Whodathunk the blue suits would be willing to laugh at themselves?

As usual, I’ve added polls to each video, so that you can vote for your favorite.

RE: B2B Comedy Videos: The Pitch Meeting

This is a revelation to see such an approach from IBM. And comedy is a great way to go viral. But a lot of Australian firms will look at these videos and say, 'We can't afford the production costs, especially in the current climate'. What they need to realise is that comic concepts can be created to suit smaller budgets.

That's why, as a Speech Writer, Hoax Speaker and Corporate Comedian, I have come to specialise in creating low cost product launch concepts based on humour.

By the way, for an extra laugh, there's an audio excerpt from a hoax I once did for IBM at: http://bit.ly/1aoiZB Click on 'Barry Manilow & Jargon'.
