Business management is home to more three-letter acronyms than any other profession, with the possible exception of aviation. And many of the most jargony abbreviations seem to be little more than a re-packaging of old ideas, or a slight variation of a proven concept. So what should you make of BPM — business process management? (BPM also refers to business performance management and business process modeling/mapping.)
