I can’t even keep track of how many “green” jobs will magically appear over the next few years thanks to Barack Obama’s benevolent policies.  The truth is, there are only a handful of legitimate green opportunities that could also be qualified as gainful employment popping up on the market each week.

So I’ll make it easy for you. Here are the three best green job boards on the web for executive positions.

GreenBiz Good for postings in engineering, renewable energy, green building and general consulting as well as sustainability positions at companies looking to become more green

SustainableBusiness Similar to Greenbiz but with better filtering functions (location, skill level, category); also tends to have more environmental nonprofit listings

Treehugger I personally think this green blog, snatched up by Discovery (the channel, not the credit card) for millions before the recession hit, is one of the web’s most overrated properties.  Nonetheless, it is one of the biggest green brands online and many HR reps from both the business and environmental nonprofit communities will think of this site first

Finding a green job ain’t easy.  There are a gazillion new green job boards out there populated with unpaid internships, one-man consulting shops and work from home scams.  But if an organization is a true player in the green field, they will likely post a job ad on at least one of those three sites.
