It’s a problem every entrepreneur might love to have: How do you deal with the perils of success?

Harvard Business School professor Noam Wasserman asks the question on his Founders Frustrations blog.

According to Wasserman, here are some downsides to success:

Motivation evaporates.

More pressure to succeed BIG. Ensuing successes must be bigger than the previous ones.

Pressure to prove you didn’t get lucky the first time — a one-hit wonder.

Cynicism from new team members. Jim has already made his millions, so what does he care about us?

Has success got you down? Do you feel you are in competition with yourself?
