Next time you’re up for a performance review, Slacker Manager reminds you to bring along a folder chock-full of praise for you and your work. Sure, you have to fill the folder up yourself, but it’s a great way to remind bosses, clients, and even yourself that you’re a good worker in need of more vacation time and a raise. Did you get a client email thanking you for fixing a seemingly intractable problem? Save it to your goodie folder. Did you bail out your boss by coming in one weekend? Make a note and stick it in there. Keep a list of the projects you’ve completed, the problems you’ve solved, and the butts you’ve saved around the office. Then all you have to do is refresh the boss’s memory. (via Lifehacker)

Recording Greatness
This needs to be done carefully. Anyone who feels they have to blow their own horn like this is insulting the boss and sending a message that bragging on themselves is more important than doing substantive work. This may be a good way to get a "D" raised to a "C" but it will also assure that you don't ever get an "A".
Impressing the boss with competence is not done all at once. You have to work at it all year long. -

??? Record Your Greatness???
Thanks BNET for the article of??? Record Your Greatness??? as it reminds us with pride record to move forward for the benefit of all. Possibly to add another file named ???Record of the Blunders I have made??? to assist us to avoid future ones. For example in 1978 by voting we the planning staff in Dubai Municipality voted 3 to 4 to elongate a road of 150 ft.ROW but to be curved not straight to avoid compensation ???DH. 100,000,000??? of existing plots and buildings. The project was executed. I was one out of the 4 unfortunately! Now I regret and find it a blunder. Now to do the road straight, we need DH. 500,000,000. I always remember the quotation a stitch in time saves nine and still puzzeled
From another side, I pile good things but have no time to record. Do you have?
With Best Regards
