    Perhaps an easier method would be to display the Developer tab and then click Document Template. You can turn on the view of the Developer tab in Word Options in the Popular section.

    @stolpe: The link works for me, so you might want t give it another shot. Another way to get to the videos is to scroll to the top of this article and click "Video Tutorials" in the Categories.

    Maybe I'm missing the point you're trying to make. When I want to apply a template to a Word doc, I click the Office button, select New and pick the template I want from "Installed Templates", "My Templates" or "Microsoft Office Online". That doesn't seem to be too obscure or difficult!

    @Jerry_Garner: What you described is opening a blank document using a template. This video is about applying a tenmplate to an existing topic.
