I absolutely despise the task manager in Outlook, but for now I’m stuck with it. Or maybe not, now that Google Tasks has graduated from Google Labs and become an official part of Gmail and Google Calendar.

As we noted when we first wrote about the feature a couple months ago, Tasks offers some nifty amenities. But don’t take my word for it; watch this informative one-minute video instead:

As you may have noticed, Tasks is accessible from your cell phone, though I’m disappointed that the Google iPhone app kicks you out to Safari for task management.

I’m also bummed that Google Sync still doesn’t support Tasks, though perhaps that will change now that the latter is out of Labs.

What do you think? Is Google Tasks up to the — sorry — task of managing your, um, tasks? Or is it still too rudimentary? Sound off in the comments.
