avs-video-to-blackberry.jpgNewer BlackBerry models like the 8830 include media software that can play videos — but where will the videos come from? With AVS Video to BlackBerry, you can convert just about any video file on your PC, as well as DVDs, for viewing on your device.

All you do is select your source video and then tweak the output parameters (if necessary). The utility lets you specify a start and finish point in case you want to convert just a portion of the movie. Then sit back and wait while it performs the conversion. AVS Video to BlackBerry even supports dual-core processors, which the developer says will cut conversion times in half. When the process is done, just copy the file to your BlackBerry and you’re good to go.

Registering AVS Video to BlackBerry will set you back $29, a fee that also entitles you to full access to all the developer’s other programs (for one year).
