You know what they say: You can never be too rich or too thin or have too much cell-phone battery life. Well, it’s something like that. Anyway, mobile-gear maker Seidio just introduced a long-haul Treo battery that promises up to 25 percent more power — without adding an extra hump to the rear of the device (which was the case with previous extended-life batteries). The 1600mAh cell is compatible with the Treo 680 and 750 and sells for $49.95. If you need an even bigger power boost, Seidio also offers a 2400mAh battery that promises twice the life of the standard cell — but it does come with a replacement battery door to cover its extended size. Reduce GRPS use as well
Something else that can extend the battery a little on most modern phones:
By default most phones are configured to connect to GPRS the moment it is available no matter if you're using it or not.(the 'G' symbol appears permanently on screen). If this is set to "When needed" as opposed to "always on"/"when available" it is possible with some phones to save a half a day of battery.
Normally the GRPS settings can be found within the Network or data connection settings on most phones (On Nokia phones this is under the heading packet data within connections).
