mpower-play.jpgJoining the ranks of online word processor Google Docs and online spreadsheet Zoho Sheet, mPower Play lets you create, share, and deliver PowerPoint-style presentations, all from within your browser.

This Web app provides a familiar set of tools for designing presentations. You can choose backgrounds, create text, and add images, audio, video and even transitions to your slides. mPower Play also lets you import existing PowerPoint presentations, though your export options are limited to HTML. Need help crafting the perfect presentation? You can invite unlimited collaborators or viewers.

Although mPower Play’s interface seems a bit crude (Windows 3.0 comes to mind), I was able to whip together a presentation pretty easily. The finished product can be shared via e-mail as a standalone site, or hosted by mPower for a real-time “Webinar” with unlimited participants, attendance tracking, etc.

The free version of mPower Play limits you to 50MB of online storage and no Webinars; for $9.95/month you get 2GB of storage and unlimited webinars. If the idea of online presentation-building sounds appealing, make sure to check out Zoho Show as well.

Got a tech dilemma? We're here to help.

    Thanks!

    Rick,

We appreciate you so quickly reviewing mPOWER Play. We will be freshening the interface in the near future and encourage your readers to compare us to the competition. We think they will be pleasantly surprised.

Again, thanks for the fair and balanced review!

    mPOWER Play

mPOWER Play's advantage over Zoho Show is the Company?s pinpoint focus on the presentation marketplace. As a result, the Company has built the most powerful presentation product currently available. mPOWER Play?s advantages are most starkly seen in the features Zoho Show lacks and those that are in MDC?s application, which are:
o an ability to support dual audio files(background and foreground) plus video support
    o more text effects
o an ability to do special effects such as object animation from a dedicated panel
o an ability to edit an imported version of Microsoft PowerPoint

I appreciate your feedback on the interface. We will address this in our next release.
