pim-backup.jpgBackup, backup, backup. You just never know when data disaster will strike. If you’re a Windows Mobile PDA or phone user, you can back up your entire device with the aptly named PIM Backup. Best of all, it’s a freebie.

The program archives not only contacts, appointments, tasks, and the like, but also phone logs, messages (SMS and e-mail alike), and custom files. It can optionally create a text-based backup that lets you see and edit the contents on your PC. All backups can be saved to your device’s internal memory or a memory card, or copied to your PC when you sync.

The developer offers two versions, one for older devices running Windows Mobile 2003 SE, and one for Windows Mobile 5 and 6. PIM Backup is a pretty robust program considering that it doesn’t cost a dime. If you’re not already taking steps to back up your mobile data, this is an effective and affordable solution. Meanwhile, don’t forget Autosync, a free tool that syncs all your data to the Web. It’s good for virtually all smartphones, not just the WM variety. [via Gizmodo]

Back Up Your Windows Mobile Device with PIM Backup

This is a wonderful utility that has helped me upgrade to WM6 and move to a new WM device. Both operations were rather frightening to consider and both were completed seemlessly with PIM Backup.
    Nicely done DotFred.

It seems to be nice application. I like online backup and favor BackupandShare. But surely try this one also.
