Much as I’m enjoying Firefox 3’s zippier performance, Smart Location Bar, and other newfangled features, I’m shocked to discover that many of my favorite extensions aren’t yet compatible. Indeed, for me this upgrade was also a downgrade, and I’m now wishing I’d waited. Here are the add-ons I need developers to update now

  • AutoCopy
  • FireFTP
  • Google Toolbar
  • Meebo
  • PermaTabs

Seriously, I didn’t realize how dependent I’d become on these extras. What about you? Did you install Firefox 3 only to discover some of your favorites were out of commission? Hit the Comments and we’ll all cry together.

Got a tech dilemma? We're here to help.

Yep, and both Google Toolbar and Meebo pushed out updates this morning. Hallelujah! Now I just need Auto Copy and PermaTabs (arguably more than any of the others) and I'm back in business.
