iphone-3g.jpgUnless you were on Mars yesterday, you no doubt heard that Apple unveiled the iPhone 3G. The big news: 3G connectivity, GPS-powered mapping, Exchange support, and an App Store. All that and lower prices: $199 for the 8GB model, $299 forĀ 16GB. Not too shabby — but is it enough to get you to switch? Will you dump your BlackBerry, Treo, or other smartphone now that you can sync with your company’s Exchange server and play Super Monkey Ball?

I would gladly spring for the 16GB model if not for one thing: I can’t justify spending a minimum of $70 monthly (up from $60) for voice and data services — not when I’m getting the same from Sprint for $30.

What about you? Vote in our Business Hacks poll and let us know your iPhone 3G plans (if you have any, that is). Then hit the Comments and tell us if you think the new model hits all the right notes or comes up short.
