Our recent post on turbocharging Internet Explorer got more user recommendations than most, which got me to wondering: What browser do Business Hacks readers use? My assumption is that most folks run Firefox, but perhaps that’s because I’m such a big fan. Maybe your workplace is all Internet Explorer, or perhaps you’re in a Safari-driven Mac environment. In any case, we want to know — so cast your vote! Remember, this isn’t a popularity poll; just tell us which browser you use day-to-day. Then hit the Comments and tell us what you like or don’t like about it.

    Silicon Valley = FF?

Though most of us use Firefox here at work, the majority (75+%) of our visitors use IE. I will use IE7 on occasion though the FF shortcut keys are sometimes different in IE.

RE: Business Hacks Poll: What Web Browser Do You Use?

There was no option for "multiple" in the poll, which I'm betting a lot of users do. I use FF almost exclusively at home, but every now and then I run into a site that doesn't work well in FF, so I use IE for it. At work, I use FF for many things, but some web apps require IE, and thus I use it for probably half my work.

I do not like the way that Firefox works with favorites/bookmarks. Everytime you need to find a bookmarked page, you have to work your way through the selection tree.

You need to add a multiple choice option

Our official browser at work is IE but ironically I have to all my purchasing in FF because we have a proxy server that has issues with almost every vendor site we use. So I spend more of time in Firefox and only use IE if I absolutely have to.

I use IE at work (it's the default) but Flock at home for personal use. It's FF taken to the next level.

Avant for home and work. It's an IE shell that adds some nice features.

Firefox for security, reliability, features and customization. Turndowns? Memory usage.
