How to Make the Most of Your Mouse's Scroll Wheel

I use the scroll wheel constantly for plain old scrolling. But I’ve configured its “button” capability so that when I click it, it registers a double-click — great for launching applications from the desktop (and other instances where double-clicking is required). To see what options are available for your mouse, venture into the Control Panel and find the Mouse settings applet.
