tellme.jpgIn an interesting display of cross-platform love, Microsoft just released a BlackBerry applet that taps into its voice-operated Tellme service. Here’s how it works: You press and hold your phone’s Call button, then say something like “coffee,” “travel,” or a business name. Tellme finds local results based on your phone’s GPS and delivers the info to your screen (or sends a text message if you prefer). The entire transaction is voice-driven, so you can easily use Tellme while you’re driving.

Wow, does this sound cool. Wish I had a BlackBerry on hand so I could test it out. If you do, please report your findings in the Comments! In the meantime, everyone else can leverage Tellme by dialing 800-555-TELL. [via Marketing Pilgrim]
