sharklinks.jpgSharkLinks for the Palm OS lets you add Web favorites directly to your smartphone’s application screen.

Normally, to visit a bookmarked site, you have to find and run the browser, tap the favorites icon, and sift through your selections until you find the desired favorite. SharkLinks turns any URL into an icon that appears on the Applications screen, meaning you can now load Business Hacks (or any other site) with a single tap.

You have to enter URLs manually — SharkLinks can’t just pull them from your existing Favorites list — but otherwise this 49K utility is a breeze to use. It’s free, too. SharkLinks works on the Palm Centro and any Palm OS-based Treo.
