As a general rule, Windows Mobile devices and Macs don’t mix. Eltima Software bridges the gap with SyncMate, a free tool that syncs your Mac’s calendar, address book, documents, and more with your Windows Mobile PDA or smartphone.

You read right: SyncMate is a freebie. There’s also a $39.95 Expert Edition that adds features like iPhoto and iTunes synchronization, though I’d say most business users will find the free version more than adequate. I haven’t tried the software myself (I’m not a Mac user nor a Windows Mobile device owner), but it looks like a solid, well-rounded tool. It’s definitely worth a try before you plunk down $39.99 for The Missing Sync. [via PalmInfocenter]
