drop-io.jpgFile-sharing service Drop.io caught our attention twice before: First, for offering a simple online “dropbox” for sharing and collaborating on files; and second, for adding a feature that lets you record MP3 audio files via your cell phone.

The latest addition to this increasingly useful service: E-mail “drops.” Now you can e-mail any file to new@drop.io to instantly create a drop. In short order you’ll receive an e-mail listing all the drop’s details: address, expiration, etc. From there it’s a simple matter to share the drop with others. Nice!

Head to Drop.io’s blog for the full scoop on this and other new updates. In the meantime, giving this increasingly innovative service a try the next time you want to share big files. [via Web Worker Daily]
