airplane-exercises.jpgAt best, air travel feels like sitting in a sardine can for hours at a time. At worst, it can kill you: Extended periods of sitting can result in deep vein thrombosis, a potentially deadly blood clot.

Northwest Airlines lists a number of things you can do to thwart DVT, starting with drinking plenty of water and walking the aisles whenever possible. And if you scroll down the page a bit, you’ll find 10 exercises you can perform right in your seat — all of them designed to keep your muscles loose and your blood flowing.
