howcast.jpgOn Thursday, a fun new instructional site called HowCast is launching. I was able to take a peek around the beta version of the site and came across a bunch of useful videos as well as lists and wikis. While the videos can be a little bit silly (for example, there’s one that teaches you how to make fake vomit out of corn flakes and hot water), there are also some genuinely useful ones, like one that teaches you how to increase the battery life of your iPod by putting on the hold button, turning off the equalizer, and dimming the backlight.

The real utility of the site for business people, though, are the wikis, which include lists of specific steps for dealing with various office aspects of office life, like handling different types of co-workers, interviewing better, and increasing your business network. And if you get bored learning useful stuff, you can always go back to the cornflakes.
