Designing a business card just got a whole lot easier. The “name card” builder at Deyey lets you create stylish, customized business cards using templates and/or your own artwork (company logos, photos, etc.). The site walks you through four simple steps: creating a background, adding a logo, entering your personal info, and downloading the card to your PC for printing.

The download part is particularly impressive: Deyey offers a choice of small and large JPEGs (suitable for online use and printing on your own printer, respectively) and a high-resolution, color-separated CMYK file, complete with bleed and crop marks, you can deliver to a professional printer.

Deyey is extremely easy to use (check out this demo); I whipped together the above sample card in less than 10 minutes. You can even design two-sided cards. Amazingly, the service costs zilch to use. My only question? How to pronounce the name. [MakeUseOf via Lifehacker]

Business cards should be designed by pros

This is cool and all, but does anyone really think that a business card is just some ink on paper. I run into this frequently. "Just put the logo and our information on the card and get it printed. Why should it be any more?"

Simple. Every touch point you have for your company is crucial in building and supporting the brand. Nothing should be done half-assed including the business card. A well designed card can open up conversations. It can immediately gain credibility and more.

It's not what you do, it's how you do it. You wouldn't give yourself surgery, so hire an expert to take care of crucial parts of your visual brand...including your business card.
