The Best Business Books Ever (Really!)

There’s been a glaring pothole in the lists of all-time best business books and best business books ever, and new BNET blogger Stanley Bing filled it like non-union labor hoping to see street repair privatized. The truth is, all you really need to learn about business has been out there for centuries. We’re not talking “The Wealth of Nations,” either. Bing’s list of the all-time best business books, cleverly disguised as a guide to How to Win Feuds and Intimidate People:

  1. The Old Testament
  2. The Art of War
  3. The Prince
  4. Moby Dick
  5. The Psychopathology of Everyday Life

Bing then issues this caution:

The one thing I would say, by the way, is to stay away from jolly, upbeat business books that paint our world as the product of the rational intercourse of thinking people. Those kinds of ideas will really mess you up.

Obviously, if he ever contacts you, hide all your assets, and arrange to have your identity stolen.
