Here’s a quick-hit pep talk from Karen Salmansohn, author of “The Bounce Back Book: How tho Thrive in the Face of Uncertainty.”
She prescribes things like the three-minute nugget of negativity, three times a day, giving up useless nasty questions you wouldn’t ask someone else, and recognizing what you can and cannot control.
Fine little pieces of advice, though it is jarring to see her citing Robert Goizueta in the present tense (’says’) more than a decade after he passed away, and Bill Gates, who isn’t doing much hiring these days. Surely there are more recent examples she could suggest.
