In my post Is the Chief Strategy Officer Necessary? I look at a McKinsey-led roundtable on the role of the chief strategy officer in an organization. I found the discussion fuzzy about just what a CSO does compared to what the CEO does. There has been a bit of discussion of the post, including this useful reader comment .

I’m following up with this poll on whether companies should have chief strategy officers who are not also the CEO.
